All of our ink cartridges are brand new, not refills.
This is either a reservoir that holds the ink that is then distributed to the print head or some cartridges already contain the print head.
The cartridge hold the powder and it sits inside a laser printer. From there, the toner is distributed onto your paper. Sometimes the toner cartridge may have a drum cartridge.
There are a couple of factors that will determine this. The content on the pages you are printing is part of the determinant. If you use images you will find more ink is used. Your printer is the other factor as some printer are more efficient than others.
Your printer manufacturer generally provides a page yield. This is the estimated number of pages that can be printed before your ink runs out.
All cartridges should be handled carefully. Keep the protective cover on until you are ready to use it and avoid touching the nozzles.
Refer to the Manufacturer’s manual for your printer type. You can usually run a test and alignment and this may be necessary on occasion.
If your cartridge is a replacement, take note of how you removed your old cartridge whilst dong it, so you can recall using the same process, but putting your new cartridge in your printer. Your printer manual will also assist you in either case; whether you are installing new or replacement ink / toner.
Cartridges tend to last for a few years if stored correctly and your printer manufacturer manual should provide a guide. If you use your printer regularly and find you need a replacement cartridge within a year then you may like to purchase two. That way, you are not left short and can order your next two and store them until you need them.
It’s not ideal if you run out of ink and management is waiting on a report or you have a proposal to get out to a client. Having a spare on hand means the office printing will continue to run smoothly. You can always request a call from our office to ensure you have enough ink or if you want to place your next order with us.
Further to this if you find that you’ve over ordered from us and have changed printer please feel free to contact one of our friendly staff as we might be able to swap your cartridges / toner over for your new machine.
